Social Media – Why Bother?
I know, it’s a lot of work setting up your social media accounts, working out what to say in the bio and what to say in the posts, following others and hoping they follow you back, Liking posts and replying to comments and so on. It’s never-ending! Is it really worth it?
My answer is that you don’t really have a choice today if you want to stay in the game. Your market just expects you to be posting on social media – it’s one of the first things, after looking at your website and maybe your reviews, that people do when deciding whether to use your company or not. The conclusion could be that your company’s probably not very “with it” if it’s not even on social media. And the other vital point is that, if someone’s looking for your products and services on social media but you’re not there, they won’t find you but they will find your competitor through their social media posts, so you’ll miss out on that sale and how many others…? And don’t forget, social media posts appear in Google’s search results.
But if you just don’t have the time or the inclination, you can always outsource the management of your social media to a reliable company who will promote your business, products, events and news on your behalf, and so strengthen your online brand awareness and enable you to take full advantage of the power of social media.
